AMEB Piano Practical Exams IMPORTANT DATES!

As Term 2 gets underway, please keep a note of important final exam enrolment dates for Video Exams for both Session 1 and Session 2, and In Person Exams for Session 2! Remember that once you are enrolled, you have a maximum of 3 weeks from that date to submit your Video for assessment. Video Exams | 1st Session Final Enrollment Dates: Monday 3 June Video Exams | 2nd Session Enrollment Dates: From Wed 24 July to Friday 27 September In Person Exams Session 2: Final Enrollment date : Monday 10 June/Exam timing between Sat 24 Aug – Sat 28 Sep to be advised by AMEB

Vale Ara Vartoukian OAM

Its truly sad news that Ara Vartoukian has passed away. Ara was Sydneys preeminent piano tuner and technician; he maintained all the pianos at the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall, and in many many private homes. He rebuilt my piano a few years back, so my students will hear and feel the benefits of his incredible piano expertise. Almost at the end of Term 1, Term 2 dates!

Ron has been teaching my son for over three years now. He started piano lessons with Ron as a near beginner, and has now progressed to the stage where he recently completed his AMEB Grade 2 piano exam. Ron is professional, clear, efficient and structured in his teaching. He is also very friendly. My son is loving his piano lessons with Ron and looks forward to them every week. His patience, kindness and ability to bring the best out of Toby have been outstanding. Seeing Toby grow as a musician has been a joy. Ron has a knack of inspiring confidence as he teaches - and the way he has worked with Toby, encouraging him to not just learn the notes but to try and express the emotion of each piece (and teaching him not to sweat the small stuff), has been amazing.
